 I'm free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free

I’m following the path God has laid you see,

I took His hind when I heard His call

I turned my back and left it all;

I could not stay another day,

to laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I found my peace at the close of day.

If my parting has, left avoid

Then fill it with remembered joys;

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss

O yes, these thing I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full I savoured much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief

Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee

God, wanted me now, He set me free.

I wish to thank each one that phoned me, sent sympathy cards and so many that came to my home with words of comfort, after I returned from my sister Lynda Owen's funeral in Abbotsford, B.C. Linda was employed in Nutrition and Dietary Dept. at the Abbottsford hospital. Her husband Jim, worked at the school. Their daughter Jennifer is in her 5th year of social services and Steffanie in her third year of criminology both attending University in Victoria, B.C. Jim and Lynda just recently bought a new home. Linda was suddenly called away to her Heavenly Home at age 54 years.
