KNIGHT:  Funeral service for Charles Frank Knight, 77, of Invermay, who died Mar. 3 at the Invermay Lodge, was held Mar. 8 from Invermay Community Hall with Terry Tompkins officiating. Burial was in Invermay Cemetery with Tompkins Funeral Home of Wadena in care of arrangements.

Born Sept. 17, 1924 to John and Ethel Knight, he was raised on the family farm north of Invermay and attend Loch Sloy and Invermay schools. He worked for the Invermay Rural Telephone Company and Ferrie Bros. Dealership. On Nov. 4, 1954, he married Margaret Minhinnick in the Invermay United Church and the couple farmed. He taught woodworking to 4-H club members and was a member of the Agriculture society and the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool committee. The couple moved into Invermay in 1985 and he retired from farming in 1989.

Predeceased by his father in 1952, mother in 1943 and two brothers, Victor in 1979 and George in 1981, he is survived by his wife; four children, Colleen (Bill) Moroz, Warren (Cheryl), Royce (Teem) and Avis (Darrell) Howe, and 11 grandchildren.

FOLWARK:  Funeral service for Peter Folwark, 81, of Swan River and formerly of Endeavour, who died Feb. 20 in Swan River Valley Hospital, was held Feb. 25 in Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Ascension in Swan River with Rev. Michael Lomaszkiewicz officiating. Interment followed in the Birchwood Cemetery with Paull Funeral Home and Crematorium in care of arrangements. Born April 14, 1920 in Endeavour to Nicholas and Tatiana, he was educated at Lillian School. He married Jennie Balycky of Danbury on Nov. 27, 1943 in Canora. They spent their first year of married life in Endeavour, then rented a farm near Danbury, where their first son was born in 1945. After a short time spent in Prince George, B. C., they settled in Swan River Valley in 1948 where they farmed. Predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Bill in 1978 and Martin in 1982, and a sister, Mary, in 1989, he is survived by his wife, Jennie, sons Gerald (Shirley), Vern and Blair (Donalda), daughters Geraldine (Clare) and Sonia, brothers John of Regina, Albert of Roblin, and Mike of Prince George, sisters Anne Lozinsky and Petrina German, both of Preeceville, Lillian Falke of Toronto, Rose Flanagan of Barrie, Ont., Adaline Key of Red Deer, and Sylvia Carpenter of Thompson, 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
