Canora Courier April 06, 2005 Page 14 LUPICHUK: Funeral service for Mary Lupichuk, 87, of Yorkton, and formerly of Togo, Invermay and the Rhein district, who died Mar. 13 at Anderson Lodge in Yorkton, was held Mar. 17 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Yorkton with Pastor Fred Schneider officiating. Burial was at Yorkton memorial Gardens with Kopan’s Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Born Feb. 3, 1918 in the Rhein district to Conrad and Caroline (nee Zottnick) Schwartz, she married George Lupichuk on Oct. 24, 1940. The couple lived in Togo for many years before moving to Yorkton. She was an active member of the Order of the Royal Purple for 48 years. Prior to moving to Anderson Lodge, she was a resident of the Invermay Lodge. Predeceased by her parents, one brother, Henry; three sisters, Bertha, Pauline and Molly, and a grandson, Christopher, she is survived by her husband; one daughter, Caroline (Doug) Taylor; three sons, Ken (Diane), Kim (Diane) and Barry (Micki); three sisters, Margaret, Frieda and Ida; one brother, Albert (Patsy); 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Canora Courier April 06, 2005 Page 14 SHULTZ: Funeral service for Verner Arthur Schultz, 80, of Wadena, and formerly of Kuroki, who died Mar. 6 at City Hospital in Saskatoon, was held Mar. 9 at the Wadena St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Glen Shore officiating. Burial was in St. peter Lutheran Cemetery north of Margo with Narfason’s Funeral Chapel and Crematorium in care of arrangements. Born on July 28, 1924, in Wadena to Walter and Pauline Schultz, he attended Rosa School. On Oct. 26, 1947, he married Emma Fidelack and they farmed in the Kuroki area until 1980, when they retired to Wadena. He was active in the Kuroki community and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Predeceased by his parents, Walter and Pauline, and a brother, Paul, he is survived by his wife, Emma; two sons, Brian (Debbie) of Kuroki and Robert (Ann) of Saskatoon; two brothers, Ernest (Agnes) and William (Mary Ann); a sister, Clara Malischewski; and eight grandchildren.
