Canora Courier, December 07, 2005 Page B1 ANAKA: Beverly Anaka (Switzer), Dec. 11, 2003. To hear your voice and see your smile, To sit with you and talk awhile; To be together in the same old way. Sso please, God, take a message, To our precious sister up above; Tell her we miss her terribly, And give her all our love. -Ernie and Marlene, Jennifer and Floyd, Gene and Jocelyn, and families. Canora Courier, December 07, 2005 Page B1 – In memory of: January 20, 1988 – December 6, 2004 I loving memory of our precious son and brother… We Grieve for you in silence And try not to let it show But what it meant to lose you No one will ever know. You wished no one a farewell Or even said good-bye. You were gone before we knew it And only God really knows why. A golden heart stopped beating A gentle person at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. If tears could build a staircase And heartache build a lane We’d run this path to heaven And bring you home again. -Lovingly remembered and sadly missed. Mom, dad, Alecea and Mathew In loving memory of Travis… Free Spirit! Happy, Kind, Full of Love and Life, that was You. Age had no barrier amongst Your friends, Old and young. Forever we shall be With You and You with us. It was not Your time, It was wrong for us to lose You, Some will never understand… What it meant to us when we lost You…. As the darkness fell, sorrow filled our hearts And it seemed as if Hope left us behind. We still embrace Your passionate presence, Your dynamic voice and exciting stories, Your curiosity for new adventures, And Your appreciation of the small things in Life that seem to affect us most. Travis we will love you for Eternity As a son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend and fellow living being. -Aunty Peggy and Patrick & Clayton & Nicole Canora Courier, December 07, 2005 Page B5 BURYM: Funeral service for Lee Jarod Burym, 18, of the Danbury area, who died Nov. 27 in Kingston, Ont., was held Dec. 2 at the Preeceville Legion hall with Rev. Canora Courier, December 07, 2005 Page B6 KROCZYNSKI: (Swiderski), Mariam (Mary) passed away peacefully, after a long and health life, surrounded by loving family members, on Dec. 2, 2005 at Weatherby Extended Care, Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. Mary was born in the RM o Invermay, Sask., on June 19, 1910, to pioneer parents, Nicholas and Paulina Swiderski, and a family of seven brothers and sisters. There, Mary attended Dobrowody School. She met her loving soulmate Marian Kroczynski of Poland, in Wilkie, Sask. And they were married in Rama, Sask. in 1933. They had four children. Mary resided for most of her life in Saskatoon, Sask., and since moving to White Rock, was longing to come back home. Mary was predeceased by her husband Marian; her parents; her brothers John, Marian and Frank; and by her sisters Lena, Helen and Emily. She leaves to mourn, her children, Eleanor Ritchie, Richard and Alice Kroczynski of Saskatoon, Diana Delver and Carol and Roy McCullough of Surrey, B.C.; her sister Adelle Karkut of Ituna; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was a paramount homemaker. Her life was dedicated to being a devoted, loving wife and mother. She took care of her family so that they always had tasty nutritious food, clean clothes and their homework done. She baked bread on the hottest days of the year and she could grow a garden, even in the 30s, that produced more than enough for her family and she could still give away lots to others. Mary taught her children the value of looking for the good in people, being nice to everyone, and respecting all religions and creeds. Mom was an active community and church member, a CWL member who loved to take part in bake sales, and bazaar craft events. From childhood, she had a natural talent for design and sewing clothing. At the age of eight, she sewed herself a made-over blouse and skirt using a lovely tweed second-hand winter coat. From then on she was the seamstress! Her family always knew that whatever they wanted, Mary would come home and make it for them! As well, Mom was an interesting storyteller, especially stories about being a pioneer child on the homestead, Christmas concerts, chataqua and the Hewsons. Mom always said that she enjoyed her life to the fullest, and that if she had to live it over again, that she would not change a thing. She accepted whatever life presented and believed in making the best of it. She had unwavering faith and was a model of what is decent and good in life. A wonderful, simple woman who lived an extraordinary life. She was ours for a short time, but will always live in our hearts. Thank you to all the wonderful nurses, recreation director, all the staff and patients at Weatherby for your kindness, gentleness and dedication in the care of our mother in her last years. She thought the world of you and appreciated everything. The Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church on 104 Street in Sutherland. Lunch will be served. Interment will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Hillcrest memorial Gardens with family members. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Victory memorial Park Funeral Centre, (604) 536-6522.
