A memorial service was held for Grace (Benson) Johnson, aged 64, at Moe Concordia Lutheran Church in Margo on July 7.  She had passed away on May 27.  She and her husband, Donnie, lived in Kelowna for the past year.  Prior to that, they had resided in Salmon Arm, Osoyoos and Olds.  They left Margo when they retired.

PEREPELUK:  Funeral service for Metro Perepeluk, 75, of Norquay, who died July 6 in Kamsack, was held July 11 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Norquay with Rev. Ivan Derkach officiating.  Burial was in the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery, south of Norquay, with Leson’s Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

Born on mar. 28, 1930, in the Norquay district to Mike and Mary (Olenik) Perepeluk, he attended Melmore School.  He married Natalie Drushka n Oct. 26, 1952.  He worked on his parents’ farm and then moved to Taylor Flats, B.C. where he worked at a pulp mill.  When they returned to Saskatchewan, he farmed in the Arabella district for four years and worked for Sorochuk’s Construction.  They bought a farm northeast of Norquay.  After his wife died in 1993, he began a semi-retired lifestyle.  While he continued to live on the farm, he farmed only 70 acres.

Predeceased by his parents, Mike and Mary, his wife, Natalie, a daughter, Gloria, in infancy, a brother, Peter, and a grandson, Tyler, he is survived by a son, Brent of Norquay; a daughter, Brenda Pasloski of Yorkton; four brothers, John (Cassie) of Norquay, Walter of Norquay, Steve of Burgis Beach and Paul (Rhonda) of Elfros; two sisters, Katie Kachkowski of Norquay and Frances (Mike) Daviduik of Kamsack, and four grandchildren.

BAGNALL:  Funeral service for Ione Eunice Anne Bagnall, 74, of Saskatoon and formerly of Preeceville, who died July 7 in St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, was held July 11 at St. John’s North Prairie Lutheran Church with Rev. Carlyle Johnson officiating.  Burial was in Preeceville Lutheran cemetery with Preeceville Funeral home in care of arrangements.

Born Apr. 14, 1931 to Carl and Betsine Strand in Ketchen, she was educated at Netchie Hills School.  She married Harold Strand on July 10, 1950.  She worked at Swift Canadian in Yorkton, Preeceville Union Hospital, Canada Post in Preeceville and as coordinator for home care services.  She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary and the Lutheran Church Women.

Predeceased by her husband, parents, sisters Ilene Strand and Corrine Olson, brothers, Milo and Curtis and granddaughter, Melanie Bagnall, she is survived by two sons, Don (Gwen) of Saskatoon and Keith (Tammy) of Libau, Man.; two daughters, Sheila (Alex) Bagu of Dalmen and Marlys (Gerald) Klein of Endeavour; three sisters, Adeline Nast of Canora, Violet Hanson of Yorkton, and Margery (Gordon) Richards of Thunder Bay; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

GERMS:  Ryan Lloyd of Saskatoon, youngest son of John and Donna (nee Markham), passed away suddenly at the family cabin on July 10, 2005 at the age of 2.  Ryan is survived by his parents, John and Donna; four older brothers, Lyndon, Jared, Jonathan and Matthew; Opa Germs; Grandpa Bill; Grandma Linda; and numerous special people in his life, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his Oma, Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Chuck.  His Dad will miss taking him to the piggies and shop.  Mommy will miss him dearly.  Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 1 p.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church (110 – 104th Street West, Sutherland, Saskatoon, SK) with Monsignor Len Morand, Celebrant.  Rite of Committal will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
