In
loving memory of, Orest, loving husband, father
and grandfather, who passed away April 12, 2000. We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new; We
thought of you
yesterday, And
days before that too. We
think of you in silence, We often speak your name; All we have are memories, And
your picture in a frame. Your
memory is our keepsake, With
which we'll never part; God
has you in His keeping, We
have you in our hearts. -Sadly
missed and remembered everyday,
wife Phillis; children Trevor and
Nikki, Angie and Vanessa; grandchildren Morgan, Bryton and Austin. Canora

In loving memory of Michael,
who passed away Apr. 16, 2000. Those
whom we love go out of sight, But
never out of mind; They
are cherished in the hearts, Of
those they leave behind. Loving
and kind in all his ways Upright
and just in all his days; Sincere
and true in heart and mind, Beautiful
memories he left behind. -Deeply
missed, from wife Jean and family. Canora

In loving memory of my wife, Elvena,
who passed away April 14, 1998. Our lives go on without you, But
nothing is the same; We have to hide our heartaches, When someone speaks your name. Sad
are the hearts that love you. Silent
are the tears that fall; Living
our lives without you, Is
the hardest part of all. You
did so many things for us, Your
heart was kind and true; And
when we needed someone, We could always count on you. The
special years will not return, When
we were all together; But
with the love inside our hearts, You
will walk with us forever. -Lovingly
remembered and sadly missed by
husband Steve.

Andrew Piasta officiating. Burial was in the Canora Cemetery with Leson's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Born on Dec. 12, 1936, in Canora to George and Mary (Kozak) Ludba, a brain injury at birth left her deaf and impaired her development. At the age of five, she was enrolled at the Residential School for the Deaf in Saskatoon. She learned to read, sign and lip read. It was at that school that she first showed interest in construction. At the age of 14, she returned home and set up a workshop in the basement of the family home. She built everything from swing sets to plant stands. She even ordered exotic woods, such as ebony from Africa, for some more elaborate projects. When she was in her mid-20s, she decided to live on her own and moved to Yorkton, where she worked at the sheltered workshop. When the policy came in mandating workers to wear steel-toed boots, she informed the workshop that she had retired. She moved back to Canora in 1999. She continued fixing old appliances and tinkering at her own projects, working out of her own home in Canora. Predeceased by her father, George, and three brothers, John, Ernie and Gene, she is survived by her mother, Mary of Canora; two brothers, Bob of Canora and Jim of Grand Forks, B.C., and a sister, Jeannette (Paul) Hryhoriw of Yorkton.
