WEINHANDL:  A graveside service was held May 6 for Ruth Elvira Weinhandl, 85, of Lintlaw, who died Apr. 28 at Kelvington Hospital Burial was at the Lintlaw Community Cemetery with Lintlaw Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

Born on Dec. 7, 1919, in Kelliher to Edwin and Mina Lindhohm, she attended Woodstone School, north of Lintlaw. She married Leo Weinhandl on Dec. 29., 1942, in Lintlaw and they farmed in the area.  In her later years, she was active with the local seniors' club.

Predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Mina Lindholm, and a brother, Robert, she is survived by three daughters, Pat (Roger) of Yorkton, Jackie (lion) of Lintlaw and Debby (Gerry) of Carrot River; a brother, Ervin Lindholm of Lint­law, and seven grandchildren.

DALSHAUG:  Funeral service for Ingman J. Dalshaug, 89, of St. Thomas, Ont., and formerly of the Buchanan area, who died May 12 at his residence, was held May 16 at Sifton Funeral Home in St. Thomas. Burial was in Elmdale Memorial Park.

Born on Dec. 3, 1917, in Buchanan to Ellend and Cornelle Dalshaug, he served with the RCAF during the Second World War. After the war, he remained with the air force, retiring after 25 years at the rank of a flight sergeant. He was then employed by Channel Master in St. Thomas.

Predeceased by his wife, Aleta, parents, Ellend and Cornelle, three brothers and four sisters, he is survived by a stepson, William Rayworth of Langley, B.C.; a stepdaughter, Madge McMillian of Saskatoon; a brother, Alan of Cali­fornia; and two sisters, Inez Knuttila of Moose Jaw and Doris Borycki of California.

LEACH:  Funeral service for Glen Hugh Leach of Crystal Lake, who died May 5 in Saskatoon, was held May 10 at St. Andrews United Church in Yorkton with Rev. Marg Janick-Grayston officiating. Burial was in the Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Bailey's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

Born in Canora, be graduated from Yorkton Collegiate and then began a 39-year career with SaskPower. He worked out of various communities but his last 32 years on the job were in Assiniboia.  In his retirement years, he worked on a new family home at Crystal Lake. In Assiniboia, he was active with the Kinsmen and K40 clubs and with the United church. While living at Crystal Lake, he was a member of St. Andrew's United Church in Canora and sang in the choir. In his retirement, he was able to return to the sports of golf and curling. He travelled across much of western Canada, the United States and most recently, Panama.

Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Mona, and a brother, Ronald, he is survived by his wife, Carol; a son, John (Susan) of Calgary, two daughters, Cathy (Terry) Pilkey of Regina and Christy (Whitney) Somerville of Calgary; a sister, Joyce Maksimow of Yorkton; and four grandchildren.

DOROSHFuneral service for James (Jim) Dorosh, 56, of Swan River, and formerly of Canora, who died June 7 at Swan Valley Health Centre, was held June 10 at Leson's Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Wasylenko officiating. Burial was in the Holy Sunday Ukrainian Orthodox Church Cemetery (Wysla) with Leson's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

Born on July 3, 1949, in Canora to Peter and Mary (Witzko) Dorosh, he attended Wysla School and graduated from the Canora Composite High School. He joined the Toronto-Dominion Bank and began a 30-year career in banking. As he worked his way up, he lived in various locations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He was a trustee of the Holy Sunday Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Wysla).

Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary, he is survived by a brother, Eugene of Burgis; three sisters, Marge (Andrew) Popoff of Kamsack, Bernice (Don) Hamilton of Airdrie, Alta, and Bev Dorosh of Victoria, B.C.

EWACHIW:  Funeral service for Mike Ewachiw, 90, of Regina, and formerly of the Rhein and Veregin districts, who died May 9, was held at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Regina with Rev. R. Luzney officiating. Burial was at Riverside Memorial Park with Victoria Avenue Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

Born Nov. 17, 1915 in the Rhein district to Alex and Mary (nee Andrusiak) Ewachiw, he married Mary Makowski on July 26, 1946 and the couple farmed near Veregin. In 1965, he moved to Yorkton where he worked with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool Farm Service Centre. He was a member of St. Mary's parish and was active with the Knights of Columbus and the Ukrainian Catholic Brotherhood. In 1975, he was transferred to Regina to work with the SWP livestock division. He retired from the Pool in 1980.

Predeceased by his wife, lie is survived by his daughter, Carol (Brian) Galon, and two grandchildren.

YAGELNESKY:  Funeral ser­vice for Eugenia Yagelnesky, 75, of the Canora area, who died June 2 at Canora Hospital, was held June 9 at Leson's Funeral Home with Rev. Marg Janick-Grayston officiating. The body was cremated with Leson's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Born on Dec. 28, 1930, in the Amsterdam district to Stephan and Anna (Gogol) Strocen, she attended Gogol School. Shortly after she married Nick Yagelnesky, they moved to British Columbia. After a few years, they returned to Saskatchewan and lived on a farm in the Stenen area. After a while, they moved to Sturgis for about five years and then moved to Canora. She worked for a number of years at the Chicken Villa and then at the Canora Gateway Lodge. Predeceased by her parents, Stephan and Anna, a daughter, Bonnie in infancy, three brothers, Eugene, Barney and Crest, two sisters, Clara Bzowy and Olga Strocen, and four siblings in infancy, she is survived by seven sons, Dwayne of Canora, Don (Louise) of Canora, Richard (Lila) of Saskatoon, Gordon of Canora, Terry (Darlene) of Calgary, Perry of Canora and Ken (Joanne) of Calgary; three daughters, Cheryl (Marty) Rehaume of Calgary, Linda (Martin Connors) Yagelnesky of Canora, and Pamela (Randy) Rurak of Canora; two sisters, Zoria (Ray) April of Sylvan Lake, Alta., and Jeannette Strocen of Canora; and 15 grandchildren.
