A funeral service was held for Victor (Vic) Loucks, age 100 years, at Westview United Church, Yorkton, on October 31. The eulogy was given by Kevin Stewart. Casketbearers were Kevin Stewart, Keith

Gerla, Paul Gerla, Todd Klewchuk, Harley Klippenstine and Lee Anne Peacock. Interment of ashes was at Invermay Cemetery on November 1 with a time of fellowship and lunch at the Invermay Hall afterwards. Donald Dean reminisced about Vic's teaching days at Mainroad School and the school band and the birth of Vic and Bettine's first child, Vivianne, at the Dean home. Pat (Knight) Belitski vividly recalled his days curling with her parents. Jack Rioch recalled memories of the farm. Vic was secretary-treasurer of the RM of Invermay from 1942 (when he took over from his father) until 1973. He also farmed part-time until 1980. Vic and Bettine moved to Yorkton in 1985 but they were not forgotten in Invermay. In 2005, Vic and Bettine were honoured as they cut the centennial cake for Invermay's Homecoming celebrations.

Annie Kruk and her daughter, Jennifer, both of Toronto, are here, visiting Sophie Gulka. Golden Age supper is coming up on December 6.

Quietly remembered every day,

Sadly missed along life's way;

Gone are the days we used to share,

But in our hearts you are always there.

Beautiful memories silently kept,

Of ones we loved and cannot forget.

KOTYK: In loving memory of Peter J. who passed away 10 years ago Nov. 16, 1996.

We thought of you with love today,

But that is nothing new;

We thought about you yesterday,

And days before that too.

We think of you in silence,

We often speak your name;

All we have are memories,

And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake,

With which we'll never part;

God has you in His keeping,

We have you in our heart.

Thinking of you always and forever.
