Accident claims life of Saskatoon man

Three Invermay residents injured

A 19-year-old Saskatoon man died as result of a two-vehicle accident on Highway No. 5 approximately five kilometres west of Invermay early Sunday morning.

The collision occurred when a slow-moving, eastbound car was rear-ended by an eastbound SUV, said Sgt. Keith Lowenberger of the Wadena RCMP detachment. The victim was a rear-seat passenger in the car.

The driver and front-seat passenger, along with the driver of the SUV, were taken to hospitals in Canora and Wadena.

Emergency services, including fire/rescue from Invermay, ambulance from Canora and RCMP officers from Canora, Wadena and Foam Lake detachments responded to the accident scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, said Lowenberger. Road and weather conditions were good at the time and were not a factor in the collision.

KUPCHINSKI: In loving memory of our dear parents and grandparents, Mike. August 17, 1995 and Mary, October 29, 2004.

The blow was great, the shock severe,

We little thought the end was near;

And only those who have lost can tell.

The pain of parting without farewell.

More each day we miss you both,

Friends may think the wound is healed;

But they little know the sorrow,

That lies within our hearts concealed.

Always remembered and sadly missed by Lawrence, Reg, Eva and family.
