In loving memory of our mother
who passed away on September 22, 2005. A
year has passed, How
well do we remember; That
sad and weary day, Suffering
much, you murmured not. We
watched you day by day, We
prayed that your dear life, Would
not be taken away. In
our memory you are near, Loved,
remembered, longed for always, Bringing
many a silent tear. -Loved and missed, Karen, Judy, Linda, Brent and their families. Canora Courier September 27, 2006 Page 14 – In memory of: MALANOWICH, MIKE We
have these precious memories, But
life is not the same; We'd
rather have you with us, Than
a picture in a frame. We
miss your voice, we miss your smile, That
wonderful wit, that was your style; That
loveable grin, upon your face, These
things time cannot erase. So
many things we wanted to share, But
you're not here-just your empty chair. -Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by wife Sophie and family. Canora Courier September 27, 2006 Page 14 – In memory of: DANYLUK:
In loving memory of our mother and baba, Emily, who passed away 10 years ago
on September 28,1996. Time
may help us to ease the bitter pain, Of
the loss of one held dear; But
only a few know how we miss her, And
the loneliness of the years. We
try to be brave and remember, She
now is free from all pain; And
at the road's end, God willing, We,
too, shall meet again. -Sadly missed and always remembered by Debbie, Leonard, Nolan, Ryan, Brett, Richard, Chris and Jacob. Canora Courier September 27, 2006 Page 15 WILLIAM
"BILL" HRYCYK:
William "Bill" Hrycyk of Canora passed away peacefully at the
Canora Hospital on September 19th, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Bill was born
on April 9th, 1919 in the Donwell district to Michael and Ann (nee Klimchuk)
Hrycyk. He was the eldest of six children. Bill was a farmer at heart and
farmed with his father and brother and later on his own in the Veregin
district. He retired from farming in the 1970's and spent time doing odd jobs
for neighbours and friends. In his early years, he worked at bush camps in The
Pas, MB and the Reserve during the winter months. Bill enjoyed having company
and was a good host. He especially was fond of children and always had some
treats for them. Although Bill never had children of his own, he coached minor
baseball for many years. Whether the boys won or lost, it wasn't important and
he enjoyed treating them after the game. Bill played baseball with the Donwell
and Canora Supers. When his health failed he watched countless games on
television. He enjoyed all sports and spent time watching the games with his
sister with whom he lived. He also enjoyed a good game of cards and playing
pool. Bill was a member of the Co-operative organizations for many years. Bill
had a good and keen sense of humour and could always lighten any situation. He
loved animals and had his pet cats as companions. On
December 10th, 1986, Bill suffered a stroke, from which he recovered, but at
the same time he was diagnosed with cancer. He had twenty relatively good
years which he spent with his sister. In November of 2005, Bill's health
declined and on March 15th of 2006, Bill entered the hospital where he resided
until his passing and entered into eternal rest. Bill is lovingly remembered by his sisters: Adeline of Toronto, ON, Cecilia of Canora, Mary of Kamsack and Victoria of Toronto. He was predeceased by his parents: Michael and Ann (nee Klimchuk) Hrycyk and his brother Steve. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, September 22nd, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home with Marion Naduriak of the United Church of Canada officiating. Interment followed in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society as tokens of remembrance. Arrangements were entrusted to LESON'S FUNERAL HOME, Canora, SK. (563-5671). |
