MOROZOFF: Nick Morozoff beloved husband of the late Pauline Morozoff of the Canora District passed away peacefully at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on November 12th, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Nick was born on November 16th, 1927 in Canora to Pete and Mary (nee Lazaroff) Morozoff. As a young man he attended the Phoenix and Kamsack schools while helping on the family farm. Following his schooling, Nick worked in B.C. on Vancouver Island, also in Thompson, MB and in Ontario at various jobs.

Nick married Pauline Dunn on December 23rd, 1963 in New Brunswick. Together they relocated to Canora and purchased their farm northeast of Canora. Nick continued farming with his wife and two boys until he retired in 1987. He thoroughly enjoyed farming but was also interested in gardening, especially flowers and fruit trees in which he and Pauline did together until her passing in August of this year. Nick will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Nick is survived by his two sons: Tony of Wadena, SK and Fred of Canora, SK. He was predeceased by his parents: Pete and Mary; his three brothers: Bill, Andrew and Sam and his two sisters: Mary Konkin and Helen Chernoff. The Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, November 14th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Canora Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to LESON'S FUNERAL HOME, Canora (563- 5671).

John S. Olynyk, beloved husband of Annie Olynyk passed away peacefully at the Canora Hospital on November 18th, 2006 at the age of 92 years. John was born on October 15th, 1914, the first son of Stephen and Vera (nee Zvizinski) on the homestead southwest of Buchanan. In his younger years he loved sports activities especially baseball, in which he played catcher. He attended public school at Gravel Hill. He became very interested in farming and there was a lot of work to be done on his dad's farm.

On August 9th, 1934 he married Annie Gulutzan at the Mamornitz church. They first farmed near Vasloutz, only a mile away from his parents' homestead. This would be their first home. From 1940 -- 1952 he served as a councillor of the R. M. of Good Lake, Division 6. In 1955 they moved near Buchanan and continued farming. Upon retirement, in 1978, John and Annie moved into Buchanan. In Buchanan he served as a town councillor for eight years. Throughout his life he was an active member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church at Mamornitz and in Buchanan. He derived satisfaction from his days of farming. He treasured all gatherings with family and friends and took pleasure from a little violin playing, mushroom picking, and fishing. During his retirement he enjoyed socializing during coffee hour, playing cards with friends and neighbours, and helping Les and Herb on the farm.

He leaves his wife and best friend, Annie, after a happy marriage of seventy-two years; their children: Michael (Gloria) of Halfmoon Bay, B.C., Peter (Beverly) of Winnipeg, MB, Mary (Rev. Fr. Stephen) Slipko of Coquitlam, B.C., Cynthia (Les) Carlson of Buchanan, SK; grandchildren: Zevin (Rosa) Olynyk, Karyn Olynyk (Art Sanderson), Chris (Marcia) Olynyk, Pamela (Blair) Kins­men, Larissa (Michael) Koke, Jason Slipko, and Kayla Carlson; Great-Grandchildren: Bradley, Trevor and Rebecca Kinsmen, Ethan and Joshua Koke, Alessandra Olynyk, and David Olynyk; his brothers: George (Mary), Matt (Lorraine), and Steve (Margarite) and his sisters Rosie Pasishnek, Katie Lesiew, Doreen (Mervin) Janzen, Vicky (Walter) Sokoloski, and Virginia (George) Fofonoff as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brothers Wasyl and Fred, and his sisters Mary Wasylkiw and Annie Chobotar.

The Prayer Service was held on Wednesday. November 22nd, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service was held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. both from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora with Rev. Fr. Peter Wasylenko officiating. Interment followed in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make a donation to the Kidney Foundation of Saskatchewan or to the Arthritis Society as tokens of remembrance. JAMES HERBERT ALVIN MCNULTY: It is with great sadness that the family of Alvin McNulty announces his passing on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at St. Paul's Hospital, in Saskatoon, at the age of 75. Alvin was born in Shoal Lake, MB on July 23, 1931 to James and Ethel McNulty. He grew upon a farm near Elphinstone, MB and attended school there. Alvin began his lifelong career with CN Rail in 1950 as a station agent and worked in communities throughout southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He retired from the CNR in 1985 and settled in Saskatoon. Alvin was very devoted to his family and took great pleasure in being involved in the lives of his siblings, nieces, and nephews. His cottage at Fishing Lake was the gathering place where he taught three generations how to fish, water-ski and play charades and fed the gang tacos. With his love of tradition and generous nature, Alvin turned his retirement anniversary into a family celebration for the past 21 years. A big part of his life, since his retirement, was spent debating world issues with the Senators at coffee row. His family will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his parents James and Ethel McNulty, sister Pat Ferrie, brothers Elroy and Brett McNulty, and brother-in-law Bob Ferrie. He is survived by sisters: Janice (Max) Sterling, Eunice June (Allan) Patterson and sister-in­law Myrtle McNulty. Nieces and nephews: Valerie Ferrie (Gene Randall). Jim (Alison) Ferrie, Todd (Linda) Ferrie, Pearce (Lindsay) Kilgour, Cheryl (Scott) Penner, Lori (John) Daulton. Darrell (Laurina) McNulty, Glynis (Jody) Waldner, Lisa (Darcy) Hrycuik, Heather (Ryan) Dzioba, and Barclay (Shannon) Patterson. Alvin was also proud uncle to fifteen great nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice. Funeral was held on November 16, 2006 at the Saskatoon Funeral Home. Internment will take place at Strathclair, MB at a later date.

PARASKY: Marion Parasky passed away peacefully at the Canora Hospital on November 15th, 2006 at the age of 70 years. Marion was born on September 21st, 1936 on the family farm in the Hyas district to Anton and Mary (nee Teron) Parasky.

Marion is survived by his brothers: William and Peter Paraski both of Canora and his sister Sylvia Tataryn of Chestermere Lake, AB and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents: Anton and Mary Parasky; his brother John and his sisters: Lillian-Drushka and Anne Becenko.

The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, November 22nd. 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora with Pastor Rowell Puedivan of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment followed in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canora Hospital Auxiliary as tokens of remembrance. BIALOBZYSKI: It is with great sadness that the fam­ily announces the passing of Deacon Walter of Edmonton on November 12, 2006 at the age of 75.

Walter was born at St. Philips, Sask., the eldest son of Wasyl and Ann (Dzuba) Bialobzyski. The family moved to a farm in the Phoenix School District in 1943 where Walter completed his elementary schooling and then attended high school in Canora and St. Joseph's College in Yorkton. After completing Normal School in Moose Jaw, Walter began his teaching career in the Prince Albert Catholic School system. Other teaching places in Saskatchewan included Wild Rose, Tway and Rama. During the course of his teaching career, Walter earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance Counselling.

In 1961, Walter took a teaching position in Dauphin, Manitoba where he taught for 12 years. While in Dauphin, he served on town council and he and his wife, Mary were instrumental in launching the National Ukrainian Festival. In 1973, the family moved to Calgary where Walter was employed as a guidance counsellor in the Calgary Catholic Schools. In 1993, he was ordained as deacon in the Ukrainian Catholic Church and served in various parishes in and around Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and the Peace River District. After retiring from teaching, Walter did consultative work in Prince George and Ashcroft, B.C.

Deacon Walter is predeceased by his parents Wasyl and Ann and his sister, Emily. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, sons Greg (Marcia) Danny and Phil, seven grandchildren, two brothers Peter (Lorraine) and Eugene, two sisters Terri (Arnold) Dyck and Lizz (Roy) Uchman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Walter will be remembered as a formidable Scrabble player, a family man with a special love for the grandchildren and as a willing volunteer.

William (Bill) Naduriak of the Canora District died at the Canora Gateway Lodge on November 16th, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Bill was born in Canora, SK on July 24th, 1920 to Steve and Mary (nee Humeniuk) Naduriak. He attended the East Scalat School and later the Canora High School until grade eleven after which he took up farming with his father and brother in the Canora and Burgis district. In 1942 he was drafted into the Canadian Armed Forces where he served for three years in the Infantry Division. After his discharge from the army he returned to farming which was always his passion. He truly was a farmer at heart.

In 1947, Bill married Marion Pura in Toronto, ON and they returned to Saskatchewan. They lived in Yorkton for a short time and then purchased land south of Canora where they made their home until the present. William's health deteriorated and he became a resident of the Gateway Lodge in Canora in April of 2005 where he remained until his passing. William was `Bill' to all who knew him. He was a gentle, caring and hardworking man, whose heart was always in the land he cared so much about. He had a quiet nature and a ready smile and he enjoyed visiting over coffee. He always took an interest in current news and was a compassionate listener. He was a member of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, the Canora Credit Union, the Saskatchewan Farmer's Union and a strong supporter of the NDP. He was also a member of St. Andrew's United Church in Canora and served on the board as an elder and as a secretary.

Bill is remembered by: his beloved Marion; his daughter Marilyn (Terry) Hancock of Edmonton, AB; his sons: Robert (Sara) Nadurak of Lumsden, SK and Gregory (Linda) Naduriak of Canora, SK; his four grandchildren: Robert, Lisa (Jason) MacLeod, William and Evan and one great grandson Liam. Also survived by his brother Mike (Olga) Naduriak of Canora, SK; his sisters: Ann Lischynski of Edmonton, AB and Irene Kopec of Nanaimo, B.C. and his sister-in- law: Mary Naduriak of Yorkton, SK as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents: Steve and Mary and his brother Harry Naduriak.

The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, November 21st, 2006 from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Marg Janick-Grayston of the United Church of Canada officiating. Interment followed in the Canora Cemetery. To acknowledge Bill's life and to honor his memory, donations may be made to St. Andrew's United Church or to the Canora Gateway Lodge Auxiliary. Arrangements were entrusted to LESON'S FUNERAL HOME, Canora. (563-5671).
