An interment service was held in the Invermay Cemetery on August 13 as he was laid to rest next to his mother, Ruth Deacon. Art was a member of the first all-Canadian squadron of the Royal Air Force in the Second World War, flying a Hurricane. He was shot down at Dunkirk on May 28, 1940 and spent the rest of the war years in various POW camps. In loving memory of Metro, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-
grandfather, who passed away September 3, 2006. They
say time heals everything, But we know it isn't so; Because
it hurts as much today, As it did one year ago. -Forever loved and deeply missed by wife Nellie, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. |
