SCHESCHUK: In loving memory of Stanley, husband, father and dido, who suddenly passed away April 21, 2001.

Deep are the memories,

Precious they stay;

No passing of time,

Can take them away.

Quietly today,

Your memory we treasure;

Missing you always,

Forgetting you never.

-Forever loved, wife Helen, children and grandchildren.

DANYLUK: In loving memory of our dad and gido, Paul, who passed away April 28,1999.

Eight years today,

Dad was called to his eternal rest;

Gone where the angels sing so sweet,

And taken when God knew best.

We miss him here so very much,

His presence often seems nigh;

But we all hope in Heaven to meet,

Where no one says goodbye.

Mrs. Mary Drobot, a resident of the Gateway Lodge in Canora entered eternal rest on April 13, 2007. She was 92 years of age. Mary was born on March 12, 1915 in the Dobronowitz District, a daughter of Metro and Dora (nee Dutka) Kolisnek. She attended school in that area. In her younger years Mary worked out doing farm chores in the neighbourhood. She was hired on by Nick Drobot, a widower with two small children, Martin and Rose to help with household chores. Romance was in the air and they married in 1938. This marriage was blessed with six children, Orville, John, Irene, Ken, Eugene and Twila.

In 1949 the Drobot family tried a new venture; they sold the farm and purchased Lunn Hotel in Canora. If life on the farm was hard, they soon realized that running a business was far more demanding especially with 4 young children.

In 1951 they purchased a farm south of Mikado which is still family owned. Tragedy struck the family in 1966 when Nick passed away accidentally. Mary purchased a home in 1969 and along with the two younger children they moved into Canora. Mary enjoyed the company of friends and neighbours and soon became active in the Church and Ladies organization. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and garden. She was soon employed by the Grandora Hotel and when the restaurant closed Mary gained employment with the Holiday Inn in Yorkton.

In 1988 Mary was involved in a car-pedestrian accident which left her with head injuries and not long after began experiencing dementia. She became a resident of Eaglestone Lodge in Kamsack before returning to Canora Hospital and finally the Gateway Lodge where she lived until her passing.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Metro & Dora; husband Nick; sons, John (1971) and Ken (1975); 4 brothers, Mike, Steve, Bill and John and three sisters, Vivian, Alice and Stephka (April 3, 2007).

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Orville (Angie) of Mikado and Eugene of Mikado; two daughters, Irene (Henrich) Zurcher of Widen, Switzerland and Twila (Bob) McKeating of Langley, BC; nine grandchildren, Dan, Bob, Kevin, Kayla, Klara, Dereck (Christine), John Paul and Jody (Roman): four great grandchildren, Cody, Carley, Aiden and Roman and a brother Harry Kolisnek of Canora.

Prayers were held on Wednesday, April 18th and the funeral service on Thursday, April 19th at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Canora with Rev. Father Peter Wasylenko officiating. The responses were led by Adeline Zawislak, Joe Trembach and parish choir members. The cross bearer was Sozon Malinsky and the banner bearers were Bohdan Korol and Doug O'Dell.

"Friends and neighbours who shared in Mary's life" were considered honourary bearers. The interment took place in the Garden of Crucifixion at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Kevin Drobot, Dan Drobot, Bob Drobot, Dereck Drobot, Ken Kolisnek and Nick Maximuik serving as the casket bearers. Following the memorial dinner reflection's of Mary's life were conveyed by son Orville, daughter Irene and grandson Dereck. Funeral arrangements were in care of Bailey's Funeral Home.

She spent time reminiscing with friends and family. Since January of 2007, Margaret's health was in a decline and as of February 5th, 2007, she spent her last days hospitalized until she took her last breath on the morning of April 17, 2007, at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was not scared to face this day and always left us with a smile.

Canora Courier, April 25, 2007 Page 18 - In memory of:

Dmytrash, Betty peacefully an suddenly on April 25, 2006.

You can only have one mother,

Patient, kind and true;

No other friend in all the world,

Will be the same to you,

When other friends forsake you,

To mother you will return,

For all her loving kindness,

She asks nothing in return,

As we look upon her picture,

Sweet memories we recall,

Of a face so full of sunshine,

and a smile for one and all,

Sweet Jesus, take this message,

To our dear mother up above;

Tell her how we miss her,

And give her all our love.

May you rest in peace, dear mother,

In that heavenly home above,

With the Sacred Heart of Jesus,

In His own eternal love.

Missed and remembered everyday; daughter Sylvia and son-in-law Graham, son Brian and daughter-in-law Marlene, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
