POHOZOFF: In memory of Paul Pohozoff who passed away June 2, 2006.

If tears could build a stairway,

And memories build a lane;

I would walk right up to heaven,

And bring you home again.

-Sadly missed by wife Helen and children and grandchildren.

TRACH:  Michalina 'Lena' Trach of Canora passed away at the Kamsack Hospital on May 16th, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Lena was born in the Dobrowody district to Martin and Mary (nee Paslowski) Matsalla. As a young girl she attended the Dobrowody School while helping her family on the farm. She continued to help her parents until she married Allen Trach on May 15th, 1950 at the church in Dobrowody. Together they settled on the original family homestead northeast of Mikado. They continued farming until 1974 when they relocated into the village of Mikado.

After Allen's passing in 1991, Lena continued to live in Mikado until she became a resident of the Eaglestone Lodge in Kamsack in 2003 where she resided until her passing. Lena thoroughly enjoyed crocheting and gardening but she was especially fond and proud of her family. She looked forward to family gatherings so she could spend time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lena is lovingly remembered by: her three sons: Alfonse (Linda) of Mikado, Aloysius (Karla) of Canora and Anthony (Bettishia) of Canora; her two daughters: Monica (Wayne) Dudeck of Mikado and Marcella (Morris) Senkowski of Thompson, MB; her seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Martin and Mary (nee Paslowski) Matsalla; her husband Allen; her four brothers and seven sisters.

The Vigil of Prayer was held on Friday, May 18th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, May 19th, at 10:30 a.m. both from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Canora with Rev. Dr. Vitalis Azike, Celebrant. Rite of Committal followed in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to a Charity of Donor's Choice or as Mass Offerings as tokens of remembrance.
