MAKOWSKY, Martin: November 11, 2006.

Lovingly Remembered

Our lives go on without you,

But nothing is the same;

We have to hide our heartache,

When someone speaks your name

Sad are the hearts that love you,

Silent the tears that fall;

Living our lives without you.

Is the hardest part of all.

The special years will not return,

When we were all together;

But with the love that's in our hearts,

You will walk with us together.

-Miss you always, Shirley, Marsha, Paul, Ksenya, Tanissa, Murray and Erin.

MAKOWSKY: In loving memory of Martin, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, who passed away November 11, 2006.

He had a nature you could not help loving,

And a heart that was purer than gold;

And to those who knew him and loved him,

His memory will never grow cold.

-Forever in our hearts, Alvin, Bernice and family; John, Thelma and family.

SCOPICK: Helen (LeLacheur) Scopick, June 25, 1912-Sept. 18, 2008, passed peacefully with her son Jack at her side. Helen loved life and looked at it as the greatest gift. She believed in prayer for strength and loved everyone, especially her husband, John Scopick, 1911-1963. Helen will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, humour, sincerity and honesty, together with her love of family, friends, church, home, garden, animals, and belief in hard work and accepting life's challenges. She was fascinated with history and current events, and had a passion for the story of the Le Lacheur's throughout the world.

Helen was born to Lorne and Annie in Hafford SK, along with her sister Pollie and brother Emerson, who both predeceased her. Hafford was home until she went to nurses training at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. She met John and they married in 1934. John later became a teacher and businessman, and their life led them (in order) to Albertown, North Battleford, Hafford, Saskatoon, Cudworth, Blame Lake, Canora, Calgary and back to Canora. A year after the loss of John, she moved to Saskatoon. Helen always spoke of those she knew in her life, and the kindness they gave her and her great appreciation. It would be impossible to mention you all, but she wishes I could. I see her smiling, and sending everyone love and happiness from her new home in Heaven. Throughout life on earth, she would say "everyone and everything is given to us for a short time; we must learn how to give back." Her three sons. Jack, Daniel and David, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, live on with her memory.

Service was held at Our Lady or Lourdes R.C. Church, Saskatoon, on Sept. 27 (Celebrant Rev. Fr. Michel Bedard, served by Adrian Piche), followed by burial beside her husband John, in Canora Sk. (Officiant Rev. Dr. Vitalis Azike, R.C. Church Canora). It is her wish that we all have faith, peace, happiness and health.
