STRELIOFF: In loving memory of Evan Alexander who passed away one year ago October 20, 2007.

Loving, kind and thoughtful in all his ways,

Caring and concerned for his family to the end of his days.

Sadly missed by all of us who loved him,

Fond memories when we were together,

Forever to be cherished in our hearts.

What we would do to hold your gentle hand,

To hear your voice and see your friendly smile.

You're always in our hearts with love,

And now in Gods loving care,

You are safe in Heaven above.

-Dearly loved and deeply mourned by wife Lori and children, Shayla and Kyle and by parents, Alex and Mary, brother Leonard, sister Nadia and nephew Jason.

WOLKOWSKI: In loving memory of Louis, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, who passed away October 21. 2003.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

But you did not go alone;

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

Your love is still our guide;

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

And nothing seems the same;

But as God calls us one by one,

The chain will link again.

-Forever loved and missed, Rose, Laureen, Brian and family, Darrell, Darlene and family. Darla and family.

CIESIELSKI: Carl Joseph Ciesielski, beloved husband of Sharon, passed peacefully at Canora Hospital, on October 4th, 2008 at the age of 67.

Carl was born in Toronto, Ontario on December 12th, 1940 the eldest son of Joseph and Anne (nee Wionzek) Ciesielski. Carl attended school in Toronto before moving to Burlington where Carl helped to manage two family businesses Joseph's Auto Body and Carl's Esso. Some of his favourite memories from Ontario were Toronto Maple Leaf games and racing stock cars at the local track. As a young man, Carl's dream to go out west became reality as he piggybacked trucks that he bought in Ontario and sold in Alberta and Saskatchewan. In 1967, on his last trip west, Carl had the opportunity to stay with his Uncle Henry and worked at Lesage Motor Products in Buchanan. It is during this time, that Carl took a keen interest in local farm girl, Sharon Nordin. They were married on July 19 in the summer of 1969 and raised two sons Cary and Kevin. Carl and Sharon bought a farm south of Buchanan and operated a mixed farming operation until a farming accident prevented Carl from continuing. It was then that Carl turned to his selling abilities and interest in cars; he bought the Ford dealership in Canora and took on the challenging role of operating his own business known as CC Ford. Carl explored other employment opportunities including construction and the Highway Traffic Board, but it was his years of car sales that he was best known for.

Family was important to Carl; he enjoyed playing football with his boys and visits from his nephew, nieces and grandchildren. Carl took pride in his family's accomplishments and enjoyed travelling to see his family. He was a great story teller who could embellish the smallest incident into a great story which he would share with family and friends. In his later years, he began a special interest in gardening and bird watching. Carl had a great sense of humour, and an infectious laugh and smile. His courageous battle with cancer may have taken him from us but his memories and spirit will remain in our hearts forever.

Carl leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Sharon; two sons: Cary (Dawne Wilson) of Regina, SK and Kevin (Kim Moore) of Yellowknife, NWT; his brother Raymond (Cordelia) of Young, SK and three grandchildren, Brandon, Tiara, and Brandon Moore; his brother-in-law: Doug (Sandra) Nordin of Buchanan, SK; his sisters-in-law: Carol (Ron) Mojelski of Kindersley, SK and Cynthia (Bruno) Weisgerber of Okotoks, AB. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anne (Wionzek) Ciesielski and a sister in infancy.

The Vigil of Prayer was held on Thursday, October 9th, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora with Ken Rolheiser officiating. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Canora SK. on Friday, October 10th, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Vitalis Azike, Celebrant. Rite of Committal followed in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society as tokens of remembrance.

Arrangements were entrusted to LESON'S FUNERAL HOME, Canora. (563-5671).
