BLEWETT: In loving memory of Clark (Jack) Blewett, Sept. 17, 1950 - March 19, 2007.

One year ago today, you were taken away,

And you are missed every day;

I did not know, that night when we left home,

You were never coming home again.

We never even got to say goodbye,

But I still wait for you to come home,

And I still wait for you to walk through the door and say hello, hello.

But you did not go alone,

For a part of me went with you,

Life is not the same and never will be.

Love you always,

Forget you never.

-Remember you forever, Diana.

PARNETTA: John Parnetta of Canora beloved husband of Phyllis passed away suddenly at the Canora Hospital on March 10th, 2008 at the age of 63 years.

Wilfred John Parnetta was born on May 22, 1944 at the Canora Hospital as the fourth child of Pauline (Rakochy) and Bill Parnetta. John lived in Canora all his life, and as a result knew most everyone in town, and spent the majority of his childhood and teenage years with his many friends and relatives, doing his best to enjoy life to the fullest.

John started his formal working life with the Co-op Creamery, where he worked for many years. In 1966, John married Phyllis (Herman), and they soon had their first of three children, Karen (Wayne), followed by Lesley (Kevin), and finally Michael (Mary). Soon after Michael was born, John and Phyllis built and operated PJ's Drive In Restaurant on the south side of Canora for nearly 10 years. In 1984, John and Phyllis sold the business and started another, when John purchased his first long haul truck and started a career of long haul driving, first running throughout the Prairies, and then expanding across Canada and the United States. It was on the open road where John truly found his calling -- he loved being able to travel to new and interesting places, meeting new people and making more life-long friends, and at the same time being able to visit many of his old friends and family along the way.

John loved the outdoors and was a true sportsman. He was an avid hunter and nearly expert fisherman. He also loved to garden, a quality he certainly learned from his mother, along with his talent to cook better than most. In the late summer of 2007, John was diagnosed with cancer, and immediately started aggressive treatment to try and beat the disease. He was responding well, but in the early hours of March 10, 2008, he passed away unexpectedly while sleeping peacefully at his home in Canora. Above all of John's loves, the most prominent were his family and friends, and spending quality time and taking a genuine interest and supporting them in whatever they did.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife, Phyllis; his three children, Karen (Wayne), Lesley (Kevin), and Michael (Mary); his grandchildren, Haley, Brookelyn, Mya, Nate, Emma and Ethan; his brother, Albert (Trudy) and sister, Adeline (Lawrence); his stepbrother, Donald Hnatyshen; stepsisters, Virginia (Bill) Matichuk and Elsie (Terry) Smyth, as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and wonderful friends. John was predeceased by his mother Pauline (nee Rakochy), his father, Bill, his sister, Violet (Danny) and his stepfather, Pete Hnatyshen.

The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, March 13th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora with Thom Carnahan of the United Church of Canada officiating.
