Sympathy goes out to Lynne Wallin, whose sister, Gwen Todd-Peel, 78, of Whitehorse, died on October 16. She spent three weeks with Darroll and Lynne in July and the memories will be cherished.

ZIELINSKI: Stanley James Zielinski passed away acciden­tally at the age of 36, on Sunday, October 19th, 2008.

Stan was born in Canora, SK. on October 11th, 1972 to Stan and Sharon (nee Pickering) Zielinski. He grew up on the family farm North East of Mikado. He went to school in Canora, graduating in 1990, and soon after attended Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon from 1990 to 1992. He graduated with his Agricultural Mechanic Technician Certificate. He began working at Nykolaishen's Farm Equipment in Kamsack as a agricultural mechanic later getting the position of Service Manager. Stan met the love of his life, Marla Hanson in 1996. They married on July 15th, 2000 in Mikado. They were blessed with two children; Savannah Jade on November 27th 2002 and Gavin James on October 12th 2005. He was a loving husband and father who was always talking about Savannah's and Gavin's accomplishments, and how much he loved them. They lived in Mikado until 2003 when they purchased a house in Kamsack where his family continues to reside. Stan's passions were farming with brothers, Blake and Darcy, curling, hunting, fishing, golfing, skidooing and quading with friends and family. Every year after hunting, all the boys would get together and start making sausage and trying different recipes for jerky, steaks and anything else imaginable. This was always a fun part of the year - everybody working together and having fun. Alongside that, throughout the spring, summer and fall the 3 brothers were busy Custom Seeding, Swathing and Combining. They were excited that they were expanding their farming operation. The Zielinski brothers were avid curlers, travelling many miles for bonspiels. In the spring of 07' the brothers purchased the Mikado Curling Rink, making way for the one of the first bonspiels in Mikado since 1994, which brought curlers from near and far; young and old. He enjoyed family gatherings with his parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. Stanley was always known to start up a poker game or two with friends and family. Stanley will be sadly missed by all of his family and his many friends.

He is survived by his wife Marla, daughter Savannah, son Gavin of Kamsack; his mother Sharon Zielinski of Canora, Marla's mother and father, Faye and Blaine Hanson of Foam Lake; his brother Darcy (Tammy) and their children Ashley, Keshia, Chantal and Keely-Che of Canora; brother Blake (Sandy) and their children Nicole, Brittani, Sean and Meghan of Mikado; sister Lea-Anne (Kevin) and their children, Colten, Courtney, Cassidy, and Caydance of Macklin; sister Stacey- Lynn (Mark) and their children Brooke-Lynn, Alexandra, Kaylee and Blake of Sylvan Lake; his grandparents Mildred Pickering of Yorkton and Anton and Agnes Huber of Regina. He was predeceased by his father Stan Sr. in 2004, grandparents John and Lena Zielinski, and William Pickering.

The Prayer Service was held Thursday, October 23`d , 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service was on Friday, October 24'h, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. both at the Mikado Curling Rink, Mikado, SK with Pastor Greg Bright officiating. Interment followed in the Canora Cemetery, Canora, SK. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations in memory of Stan to a trust fund for his children at the Affinity Credit Union in Kamsack, or any Affinity Credit Union.

GURSKI: Pauline Gurski passed away at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on October 15th, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Pauline was born September 15th, 1917 at home on the family farm in Swan Plain SK. the daughter of Michael and Magdelina (nee Kowolchuk) Filipowich. She worked in the Veregin area with many families and stayed very close with all the people she worked with throughout her life. On June 3rd, 1939 she married Frank Gurski. She then later worked as a cook and housekeeper at the lumberyard mill in the Swan Plain area where her husband Frank was employed. They lived their lives together beginning in Tadmore, moving to Swan Plain in 1955 where they farmed in the area and in 1977 sold their farm and moved to Norquay. Pauline and Frank were members of the Tadmore, Swan Plain and the Norquay Ukrainian Catholic Churches, and were actively involved in church functions. The Good Lord took heron October 15th,2008. Pauline was very loving and was loved by many.

Pauline is survived by her sons: Victor (Gloria Marrie) Gurski of Swan Plain, Wayne (Loreen) of Swan River and Danny of Canora; her daughters: Victoria MacLeod of Saskatoon and Gloria (Lyle) Yusik of Yorkton; her brother Walter (Rose) Filipowich of Toronto, ON; her sisters: Marge Peshko of St. Catherines, ON and Angie Floyd of Toronto, ON; her sisters-in-law: Rose Filipowich of Swan River, MB, Winnie Filipowich of Norquay, SK and Helen Filipowich of Toronto, ON; her sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Frank; her son Michael; her granddaughter Donna Gurski; her grandson Ryan Rachuk; her parents: Michael and Magdelina; her brothers: Michael in infancy, Peter, John, Joseph and Tom; her sister Lily Tataryn; her brothers-in­law: Fred, Leslie and Jim and sister-in-law Anne. The Prayer Service was held on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora. The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, October 23rd, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Norquay, with Rev. Fr. Basil Malowany officiating. Interment followed at the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church or charity of choice, as tokens of remembrance. LYNCH: Victoria Iris Lynch (nee Stinka), age 64, of Kittanning, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at home after a long battle with cancer. Victoria was born on December 25, 1943, in Canora, Saskatchewan, Canada, to John and Polly Stinka. Victoria was a registered nurse.

She is survived by her husband Douglas Lynch who she married June 15, 1970; a son, Aydaen Lynch of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Aylish Lynch of Kittanning; three brothers, George, James, and Martin Stinka; and five sisters, Lillian Skoretz, Hanna Tratch, Shirley McMillan, Veronica Burford, and Eileen Diak.
