Elsie Kowalchuk (Dearlove), December 15th,1938 - August 28th, 2009. It is with
a heavy heart that Bernard announces that his soul mate left this world on
Friday, August 28th, to be with her Lord and Saviour. Elsie
was born in Porcupine Plain to Jim and Della Dearlove. She trained as a
psychiatric nurse in Weyburn, where she met the love of her life and married
in 1958. Their life with SaskPower took them to many different communities
throughout Saskatchewan. Elsie's greatest love was her family. She was a
loving and gentle mother, and wonderful Baba. She will be remembered for the
wonderful productions at Christmas, Thanksgiving, and birthdays. She was a
great cook, hostess, and friend. We will miss her wonderful sense of humour,
the long coffee breaks on the deck at Crystal Lake, and her cinnamon scuffles. Left
to mourn her passing are her children, Bernadette (Myron) Shiplack of Regina,
their children Tanis (Joe), Lynn; Karen (Blair) Anwender of
Martinsville, their children Sherri (Ryan), Michael (Marla); Wendy
(Leslie) Lang of Saskatoon, their children Erin, Lisa, Tristan; Brian of
Crystal Lake and his son Cole; Gaylene (Patrick) Perras of Regina, their
children Melissa, Chelsea; Glenda of Tisdale, her children Dyan, and Logyn.
Also her great grandchildren, Gwen, Ethan, Korwin, and Kayley. She
was predeceased by her son Daryl and grandson Brendan Lang in infancy, her
loving daughter-in-law April Kowalchuk, her parents, Della and F. James
Dearlove, a brother Gordon in childhood, brother Roy Dearlove, sister Evelyn
Sommer, brothers-in-law Charles Sommer, Emil Kowalchuk, John Bugera, John
