Canora Courier, March 11, 2009 Page 16 OWCHAR:
In loving memory of our dear mother, Grandmother and great-grandmother, Agnes,
who passed away March 11, 1999. They
say it is a beautiful journey, From
the old world to the new, One
day we will take that journey, Up
the stairs that lead to you. We
pray to God in Heaven. Take a message up above; Tell mom how much we miss
her. Canora Courier, March 11, 2009 Page 16 BERG:

pain and sorrow will be no more. -Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by wife Lois, sons Trent and Darcy, sister Sharon and family. Canora Courier, March 11, 2009 Page 17 KOROL:
Harry Korol passed away peacefully at the Gateway Lodge on March 3, 2009,
at the age of 81
years. Harry
was born in the Donwell
district on February 2, 1928 to
Harry and Annie Korol. The family moved to Gorlitz and Harry attended Anak
School. After his father passed away Harry and his mother moved to Canora.
Harry became a resident of the Gateway Lodge on February 28,
1969. He enjoyed his independence, venturing downtown for coffee and playing
bingo. Harry had an ear for music and taught himself how to play the violin.
He spent many hours in his room perfecting toe tapping tunes on the violin
while listening to Ukrainian records. Harry also enjoyed assembling crafts and
was artistically gifted. His classmates recall that Harry could draw very well
copying anything that was put in front of him. Harry spent many happy hours
tinkering with electronics in his room. He
will be fondly remembered by his Gateway Lodge family and friends. Funeral Services were held at the Canora Gateway Lodge Chapel at 2:00 p.m., on March 5th, 2009, with Very Rev. Archpriest Mikolaj Derewianka officiating. Interment followed in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canora Gateway Lodge Auxiliary as tokens of remembrance. Arrangements entrusted to LESON'S FUNERAL HOME, Canora. (563-5671). |
