Olive always said that the best years of her life were her school years. She
enjoyed every aspect of school life, the work, the play, the fun and even the
walk to school. She made sure her children received an education and had
careers. She took great pride in her grandchildren's studies and was always
ready to celebrate their accomplishments. Olive Shumay and Mike Dziaduck were
united in marriage on January 22, 1938 at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in
Canora. They enjoyed a career in farming on several farms in the Tiny

retired to Canora. She was a long-time member of St. Mary's (Our Lady of Mount
Carmel) of Tiny and St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Canora. She was an
active member of the St. Joseph's CWL. Olive was a woman of great strength and
energy. She was always busy even in her retirement years. She was proud of her
well kept yard, vegetable garden and flower beds. She spent many hours sewing,
knitting, crocheting, embroidering, doing crafts, doing jig saw puzzles and
playing cards. She looked forward to the visits from her children, their
spouses, grandchildren and their families. The great grandchildren loved to
visit her. She entertained them with a variety of games and treats. Olive's
