GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

Marion Weir (Mrs. William Crockett)

Mrs. Crockett Dies, Age 81. Her many friends and relatives will regret to learn of the sudden death yesterday of Mrs. Marion Weir Crockett, widow of William Crockett.  Mrs. Crockett died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Spence, 324 High Street.  She was in her 82nd year. A daughter of the late Jonathan Weir and Agnes Park Weir, Mrs. Crockett was born in Moncton and resided here all her life.  She was a member of St. John's United Church and was active in the work of various societies of the church and in the Order of the Eastern Star of which she was a member for many years. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. H.B. Gooderich, Tulso, Okla., a son F.A. Crockett, Medicine Hat, Alta., and a daughter, Mrs. Roy Spence, with whom she resided.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mrs. D.R. Macpherson, Moncton; Mrs. W. Danial, Caracas, Venezuela; Mrs. Ralph Tisdall, Moncton, and Frederick White, Moncton, and two great-grandchildren. The remains are resting at her home.  The funeral service will be held from the residence at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.  Interment will be in the family lot at Elmwood cemetery.
