GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN Evelyn Georgia Weir
WEIR, Evelyn Georgia - 86, Black River, Kings Co., died February 1, 1998, in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Black River, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Agnes (Schofield) Weir. While living in Ontario, she was employed with Holiday Inns for several years. She later moved to Halifax and retired to Black River 20 years ago. Surviving are brother, Victor (Dick), Wellington; sisters, Marion (Mrs. Edward Hyland), Halifax; Irene (Mrs. Frank Davies), London, Ont.; Olive (Mrs. Gordon McNab), Dartmouth; Beverley (Mrs. Basil Duncanson), Hortonville, Kings Co. She was predeceased by brothers, Ellis, Lester, Lawrence, Arthur, Aveman, Gordon; sisters, June, Hazel. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service 2 p.m. Friday in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Wolfville, Rev. Dr. Freeman Fenerty officiating. Burial at a later date in Black River Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or any charity.
