GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN J. Wesley Weir
Death Caused By Asphyxiation. J. Wesley Weir, 339 High Street, Moncton died of asphyxiation caused by the aspiration of water and mud into his lungs. An autopsy performed Thursday revealed. The body of the 84 year old hunter was found Thursday morning by a NBEPC work crew near the CNR hump yard at Allison. Mr. Weir was declared missing when he failed to come out of the woods Wednesday after a day's hunting. He had entered the woods at 9:30 am Wednesday and was last seen 2:30pm. Mr. Weir was born in Elgin, Albert County a son of the late John and Phoebe (Leaman) Weir. By occupation he was a painter and had retired in 1944. He was a member of the performed Baptist church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. His wife the former Annie Ward predeceased him in 1963. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
