Around the Counties. Welsford. Mr. Allan Weir has rented the wool carding and grist mills of the late William Weir and, being an experienced workman in both branches of the work will doubtless give general satisfaction. On May 19th, after a long illness from the dread disease consumption, Mr. Wm Weir, one of our most respected neighbours, passed away at the age of 59 years.  He came to this place about 13 years ago, when he bought the mill property then owned by Robert Allan. He formerly lived in Pine Tree, where his brother John Weir, miller, now resides. He has three surviving brothers and one sister, and leaves a widow and one child to mourn his loss.
