GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN Norman Alexander Weir
Norman Alexander Weir - Norman Alexander Weir, 36, of 93 Noble Avenue died Monday evening in King Edward hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Winnipeg, Mr. Weir went to Edmonton in 1913 and received his elementary schooling there. He returned to Winnipeg in 1921 and attended Lord Selkirk senior high school. Prior to eight months ago when he took employment at the chemical plant at Transcona, Mr. Weir was associated with the Jackson Bros. grain company. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Robert Weir; two sisters, Mae, Winnipeg, and Mrs. W. A. Larson, of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Harold and John, overseas in the Canadian army, and Frank, Winnipeg. A private funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mordue Bros.' funeral home, with burial in the family plot in Elmwood cemetery. Rev. D.G. Paton will officiate.
