GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

Amanda Weir (Mrs. John Park Weir)

Funerals - Mrs. John Weir. A large number of friends and relatives paid a splendid final tribute to Mrs. John Weir when her funeral was held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. G.C. Torrens, 212 Queen street.  Adding to this mark of high esteem was the receipt of numerous floral pieces and many messages of sympathy to the bereaved family. Rev. Dr. J.A. Ramsay, of St. John's United Church, conducted the service at the residence and at the receiving vault in Elmwood cemetery. He was assisted by members of the choir of that congregation. Pallbearers were chosen from the intimate friends of Mrs. Weir's family. Interment will be in Elmwood later in the year. Persons from points outside Moncton attending included a son, Fred Weir, of Beverley, Mass., and a granddaughter, Mrs. Sam Richardson of Bathurst.
