Frank Frederick Weir

Frank Frederick Weir - On October 14, 1974, at the Victoria Hospital, Frank Frederick Weir, aged 69 years, beloved husband of Myrtle Irene Weir, of 403 Kiltarton Towers, formerly of 374 Overday St.  Funeral service will be held in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby, Thursday, October 17 at 2:15 p.m.   The Rev. Charles A. Milton will officiate.  Interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Courtesy parking west of the funeral chapels.  Mr. Weir was  born in Winnipeg and retired as Western Manager of T. McAvity and Sons Ltd. in 1963   after more than 35 years service.  Mr. Weir was a long time member of the Winnipeg Winter Club and the St. Charles Country Club, he was an ardent golfer, bowler and figure skater.  A son Bryan C. Weir predeceased him in 1971.  Surviving besides his wife are a daughter-in-law Mrs. Byran C. Weir and four grandchildren Bruce, Gordon, Leslie and Bryan-Dixon, all of Winnipeg; two sisters , Mrs. Grace Radcliffe and Mrs. G. (May) Harrison of Winnipeg; two brothers Robert Weir of Edmonton and Jack Weir, of Winnipeg.  Honorary pallbearers will be:  Messrs. J.B. Carter, N.B. Hoeschen, Dr. Gilbert  Adamson, Dr. J.J. Bourgouin, A. Bennett O'Brien and Dr. Merle Carlton.  Active pallbearers will be:  Messrs. Edwin Aston, Jack Carnegie, David Rennie, Jack Weir, Colon Settle and Bruce Beatson.
