Last Will and Testament of Duncan Weir, late of River John, Proved &, Registered 13th July A.D. 1883.
This is the last Will and Testament of me Duncan Weir of River John, in the County of Pictou, Miller. 1st I give devise and bequeath all the real and personal estate of whatsoever name and nature and wheresoever found to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease to my son Allan Weir his heirs and assigns forever. 2nd I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Elizabeth Weir the sum of two hundred dollars to be paid by the said Allan Weir, One Year after my decease. 3rd I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Jessie McKenzie (now living in Nevada in the United States of America.) the sum of four hundred dollars to be paid by the said Allan Weir, one year after my decease. 4th I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Agnes McQuarrie the sum of five hundred dollars to be paid by the said Allan Weir, one year after my decease. 5th I give devise and bequeath unto my Grandson George Grant the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid by the said Allan Weir, one year after my decease to my executors, and by them to be invested on interest until such time as the said George Grant shall arrive at the full age of twenty one years when the same with interest as aforesaid shall be paid unto him. And Lastly, I do hereby nominate, constitutes, and appoint James ?Kildain? and Charles McLennan of River John in the County of Pictou Esquires joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Testamentary writing. In witness I have hereunto my hand and Seal subscribed and set this twenty fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty two.

This is a Codicle to the foregoing last Will and testament of one Duncan Weir of River John in the County of Pictou, Miller, which foregoing last Will and Testament bears date the 25th day of June A.D. 1882. I hereby revoke the bequest of five hundred dollars to my daughter Agnes McQuarrie to be paid by my said son Allan Weir on year after my decease to my executors and by them to be paid over unto the trustees hereinafter named to be invested as hereinafter directed, and, I do hereby appoint my said executors James ?Kildain? and Charles McLennan, trustees of this my bequest to my said daughter Agnes McQuarrie and I direct that the said bequest of Five hundred dollars be by them invested on interest for the use and benefit of my said daughter Agnes McQuarrie and the interest paid unto her yearly during her life time, And at her decease in the event of her leaving no family or legal issue, I direct that the said bequest be divided equally between my daughter Jessie McKenzie and my son Allan Weir or their heirs. In all other respects I do confirm my said Will. Witness my hand and Seal this tenth day of February A.D. 1883.
