FULLER, Raymond Harold AB, 3273, RCN MPK - 22 Oct 1940, HMCS MARGAREE - Son of John Edward and Ada Irene Fuller, of Victoria, British Columbia.

 

Able Seaman Fuller died when his ship, HMCS MARGAREE, was struck by the freighter SS Port Fairy while in convoy and was sunk. 143 of her crew were lost, 86 of them were survivors of HMCS FRASER.

 

Able Seaman Raymond Harold Fuller, age 21, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Edward and Ada Irene Fuller, 66 Wellington Avenue. He was born and educated in Victoria. He was prominent in sports circles football, basketball and baseball before he joined the Canadian Navy in September, 1938. He was the grandson of the Rev. John Robson, Methodist minister in Victoria.

HMCS MARGAREE - Drafted to MARGAREE 06 Sep 1940
