Paul Emile Joseph Caissie

Died: 14 May 2026, Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada

 

CAISSIE, Paul Emile Joseph - Son of Loretta Caissie and the late Emile Caissie Jr. Paul was born into a military family as his father was a M/Cpl in the RCAF and his mother was an Airwoman in the RCAF. His brother was a Cpl who served in the Canadian Army. He loved the adventures of military life. The family had many different transfers in most of the provinces of Canada and also into California. At 18 years of age, he joined the Navy and was stationed on the West Coast and again began his many travels along the West Coast of Canada and the United States and South America. He served on HMCS Yukon and HMCS Qu’Appelle as Marine Engineer when stationed in Esquimalt, B.C. After his navy years he worked for Canadian Industrial Distributers in Halifax and Calgary, Alberta.

 

He will be missed by his mother, Laurie; sisters, Linda, Theresa (David), Lena (John); brother, Robert (Wendy); many nephews, nieces and cousins.

 

There will be no funeral at this time. A private family funeral will take place at a later date. A special thank you to the Palliative Care nurses and caregivers. To his Nurse Practitioner, Rachael Young, and McLaren Funeral Home for their kindness. Thank you to everyone who helped him during his illness.
