EISAN, Dana Frank - It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Dana Frank Eisan, born in July of 1957 to the late Harriet (Jenkins) and Floyd Eisan. a devoted husband, loving father, and respected community member.
Dana was predeceased by his son Dustin Eisan, sister Carmen Eisan, brother-in-law Clive Foster and his parents. Dana is survived by his loving wife Averil, brothers Floyd (Kathy) Eisan, Andrew (Julia) Eisan, sisters Alana Foster and Pam Eisan, daughter Krista Eisan, son Brad Eisan (Tracey), stepchildren Natasha (Earl) Nordin-Romkey, Anthony (Jacquie) Vanemberg and Krista Johnson. He is survived by his grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends. Also survived by his pride and joy his fur baby Pru. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dana dedicated much of his life to serving others. He proudly served in the Navy for 38 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment to his country. In his community, he volunteered as a firefighter for over 40 years, achieving the rank of Captain through his dedication and leadership. Dana was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and served as Vice President where he remained actively involved in supporting fellow veterans and community initiatives. After retirement from the military, Dana took on a second career with Kent Building Supplies for 12 years as a safety officer.
He was an avid hunter, bingo player and always on the go and willing to help anyone in need. Dana will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be held on December 6, 2025, 11am to 1pm at Atlantic Funeral Home - Oakridge, 1110 Old Sackville Dr. Donations may be made to any charity to support firefighters or a local fire department.
