In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HOLMES, Wilbert (Wib) - Veteran of WW II, served 2 terms in the Royal Canadian Navy following his discharge from the Navy Wilbert worked for Canada Post for over 32 years. Predeceased by his wife Shirley (nee Edwards). Wilbert passed away in his sleep on Wednesday December 25th, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Dear brother of Harold (Joan) of North Bay and June Currier of Chatham, ON. He will be sadly missed by his extended family Nancy, John and Casey Morrison. He will be fondly remembered by his friends Danny and Jackie Carroll. Predeceased by his parents Ralph Levi and Mary Elizabeth Holmes, brothers George, Cecil and a sister Dora Trusedale. A memorial service will be held for Wib on Monday December 29th at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd., at 1:15 pm. Donations to the charity of choice in his memory will be gratefully acknowledged. (The North Bay Nugget 27 Dec 2008)
