BARRETT, Arthur Edwin, AB, V12346, RCNVR, killed - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - son of Charles Henry Barrett and of Nancy Barrett, of Edmonton, AB. Husband of Cleo Barrett.

 

AB Barrett is buried in the Plouescat Communal Cemetery, Finistere, France.

HMCS SANS PEUR - Served in Sans Peur 02 Nov 1940 - 22 Nov 1940 and 11 Mar 1941 - 03 Apr 1941 as an OS, RCNVR

HMCS VENTURE - Served in Venture 06 Aug 1941 - 30 Apr 1942 as on OS & AB, RCNVR

HMCS AMHERST - Served in Amherst 11 Jul 1942 - 03 Aug 1942 and 23 Sep 1942 - 20 Mar 1943 as an AB, RCNVR

HMCS ATHABASKAN - Drafted to Athabaskan 03 Jul 1943 as an AB, RCNVR
