Born: 02 Jul 1921, Toronto, Ontario          Died: 24 Nov 1944 at sea

 

WATSON, Wilfred, EA 4c, V44390, RCNVR, MPK - 24 Nov 1944, HMCS SHAWINIGAN - son of Dorthy & Ernest Watson of Toronto, ON; brother of Norman Watson.

 

Electrical Artificer Wilfred Watson, 23, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Watson, Ossington Ave. Born here, he attended McMurrich School and enlisted 2 years ago after having previously been to sea, traveling between Canada, Bermuda and New York. Before joining the Shawinigan, he trained at Hamilton and Halifax. (Newspaper clipping, the Globe and Mail, Friday, Dec. 8, 1944)
