Richard W. Aldhelm-White

 

Leading Seaman, RCN

 

Born: 1926          Died: 2006

 

Richard (age 18) was serving in HMCS Chebogue when she was torpedoed by U-1227 on 04 Oct 1944. He was wounded by shrapnel from the explosion and taken off Chebouge before she was towed back to the U.K.

 

Ships served in:

HMCS CHEBOGUE - Survived the torpedoing of Chebogue.  Wounded by shrapnel from the explosion.
