William David (Bill) (Shakey) Clark

Died: 10 Feb 1997, Victoria, British Columbia

 

CLARK, William David (Bill) - passed peacefully away on Monday, February 10, 1997 in Hospice after a lengthy battle with cancer. He leaves his loving wife Velma (nee Holmes); his only son Tom and wife Deena and four precious grandchildren Leanne, Carolyn, Valerie and Thomas; Bill's only sister Connie Vicars of Kamloops; two cousins, Gordon and Marie Scott of Victoria; and many nieces and nephews. Bill served in the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve and Royal Canadian navy retiring in 1968. He then went to work at Dockyard and retired in 1984. Bill was a member of the Chief and Petty Officers Association as well as the Royal Canadian Legion 147. Service to be held on Monday, February 17, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Home, 1155 Fort Street. Donations to Victoria Hospice, 1900 Fort Street.

 

Bill served in the RCNVR (service number V59837) and the RCN from 02 Apr 1943 to 13 May 1968.
