TROUGHTON, Gordon Allan - At the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2009 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of June Troughton and the late Florence Troughton. Dearest Daddy to Patricia Troughton, Allison Wright (Jim), Michael Sopranowich (Sue), Rosanna Sopranowich and Kathleen Fox (Ken). Lovingly remembered by grand- children Avril, Tim, Kane, Emma, Matthew, Matty, David, Elizabeth and Zoee. Dearest brother of Katherine Peacock. Will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Kenneth and his sister Grace. Gordon was a retired Dofasco employee, a member of Sea Nag, the Hamilton and Burlington Navy Vet's Association, a War Plane Heritage member, R.H.L.I. member and a member of the R.C.L. Br. #58. Special thanks to the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital I.C.U. East for their expertise, kindness and compassion. The family will receive friends at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 1-3 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
