Died: 01 Jul 2019, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

STOVER, Daureen Helen Mary (née O'Dwyer), WRCNS - age 98, left the world quite gently on July 1, 2019 in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII. Born in Zurich, Ont., she was the first daughter of the late Dr. Patrick and Ida O'Dwyer. She was also sister to Patricia, Maurice and Michael. Daureen served as a WREN in the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service, and also enjoyed a long career as a medical secretary. She is survived by all of her children, Danny, Peter (Janice), Terry (Joanne), Mary (Pete), Tim and Chris. She was a much-loved and legendary grandmother to Ellen, Susan, Jane, Alexander, Jesse, Aaron, Jesseca, Joe, Brian, Michael, Erika, Tim, Beth, Mercedes, Justin, Lily and Sacha. She was a great-grandmother to five more little ones, and was an Aunt to many, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Stuart Stover. The family would like to thank the staff at Veterans' Memorial for their loving care of Daureen over the last few years. Funeral Service to be held Thursday, July 11th at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1095 Ketch Harbour Rd., Ketch Harbour. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 10 Jul 2019)
