Franklin Raymond Plato

Died: 12 Jan 2010, Niagara Fall, Ontario

 

PLATO, Franklin Raymond - Peacefully passed away January 12, 2010 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in his 88th year surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Franklin (Ray) Plato was the husband of the late Helen (2008). Beloved father of Rick and Andrea Plato, John and Shelley Tamas, Jeff and Sue Quin, Sandy Thomas and Joanne Switzer, Joe and Pam Sheptenko, Raymond (Hazel), Patricia (Danny) Devereux, and Roy (Shirley). Loving Papa to Helecia Gross, John Tamas, Stephanie Quin, Jackie Quin, Joanna Staniak, Brittany Quin, Jessica Thomas and Mollie Sheptenko. Great grandpa to Aaron, Elliott, Oliver, John, Kaitlyn, Brock, Hannah and Riley. Dear brother of Jean Reichelt, Margie (Fred) Barber, Keith (Shirley) Plato and Dave (Heather) Plato and sister-in-law Geraldine Plato. Predeceased by parents Franklin Raymond and Evelyn Plato, sister Mabel Peck, brothers William Plato and Donny Plato and grandson Bobby Quin. A World War II Veteran in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a Navy Seaman and fought in the Battle of the Atlantic and served aboard several ships including the Corvette HMCS Bittersweet. Friends may call at the The Williams Funeral Home, 722 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway from 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. George Roman Catholic Church on Friday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Military Casualty Support Foundation.
