Sto PO Earl O'Brien is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William O'Brien of New Waterford, NS. He survived the sinking of HMCS ATHABASKAN G07 and was rescued by HMCS HAIDA . Prior to joining the navy he was employed in the coal mines in Cape Breton.
