Harold Gerard Brake

Petty Officer, Engineer, C.A.F. (Navy)

Died: 27 Jan 2020

BRAKE, Harold Gerard - Age 69 of Coldbrook, born in Stephenville Crossing, N.L. passed away with his family by his side, in Valley Regional Hospital. A beloved husband, father, Poppy and friend will be dearly missed by all of those who have known and loved him. His many careers included Royal Canadian Navy, IMP, Nova Millwright, Eden Valley Farms and the Research Station to name a few. A man known with a warm smile, kindness, positive attitude, giving, humble, friendly nature and ready to make you laugh. He was a true MacGyver, handyman, carpenter and engineer. He enjoyed many trips to the camp and rides on his four-wheeler. He loved playing cards with neighbours and friends. Most mornings he could be found at the local Tim Horton's with the guys. He loved being around his grandsons. He truly was an amazing man. He is survived by his wife, Bernice; daughters, Wendy (Robert Jensen), Cynthia (Derek Schofield); grandsons, Evan and Colin Jensen and family. A private service to be held at a later date. Please make donations to ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia  (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 30 Jan 2020)
