In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
VALENTINE, Victor Fortune - Professor Victor Valentine (retired) passed away on March 11, 2014 at the age of 88. He studied at University of Toronto and worked in government before joining the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University in 1965. Vic pre-deceased by his wife Mary (Callinan) and son Anthony. He is survived by sons, Stephen and John (Mary), and daughter, Mary Ann, and seven grandchildren: Thomas (Tamara), Michael (Sabrina) , Melissa (Ian) , James, Angelia, Richard and Ryan. Services will be held at the Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street at 2:00 p.m. on April 17, 2014. Interment to follow. A reception will be held at the Brookfield Restaurant at 704 Brookfield Road from 4:00-6:00pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend. (Ottawa Citizen 15 Apr 2014)
