In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DOOKS, Dale Allan - Age 69, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2014, in North Vancouver, B.C. Born and raised in Halifax, Dale was a former proud member of the Royal Canadian Navy and a lifelong avid boater. He moved to Surrey, B.C., in the mid-1990s and later to North Vancouver. Dale was a long-time employee of Thunderbird Marina in West Vancouver. Dale was predeceased by his parents, George and Mary (Boutilier) Dooks (of Halifax). He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen (Giles); daughter, Kimberley (Michael), and grandson, Ewan. We want to thank the doctors and staff on 7 West of Lions Gate Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 27, from 3-7 p.m. in First Memorial Funeral Services, 1505 Lillooet Rd., North Vancouver. At Dale's request, there will be no service.
