McCREADY, James (Jim) - WWII Veteran RCN - Longtime resident of Toronto and Midland, Jim passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Carleton Place Memorial Hospital in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Golda McCready (nee Lea). Loving father of James (Christine) and John (Jenny). A cherished grandfather of seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends may visit the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service in the chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment at the Lakeview Cemetery in Midland at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Jim was a longtime manager with the LCBO in Toronto. (Toronto Star 05 Aug 2017)
