Belford Alexander (Alex) Draper

Died: 25 Mar 2004

DRAPER, Belford Alexander (Alex) - At the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday March 25th, 2004 at the age of 78. Loving husband and best friend of Clara. Cherished father of Laura (Doug) Core, Luanne (Randy) Babel and Jim (Maureen) Draper. Proud Papa of Sarah Joyce Draper and proud Grandpa of Sarah Elizabeth Core. Alex served in the Canadian Navy during World War II, and was employed for many years with Ontario Hydro as a Regional Operator. He was a member of Stamford United Church, The Adoniram Lodge, The Order of the Eastern Star, The Elgin Lodge of Perfection Chapter of the Scottish Rite, the Niagara Chapter of the Rose Croix, The Niagara Shrine Club and the Rameses Shriners. At the personal request of Alex, all funeral services will be held in private with his family, followed by cremation. As an expression of sympathy, in memoriam contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the GNGH Emergency Room Fund, would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be completed at Hetherington and Deans Funeral Chapel, on Victoria Avenue. Though his obstacles were many, he never lost his sense of humour or wit. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his family. (The Review (Niagara Falls) 27 Mar 2004)
