Born: 23 Feb 1925, Montreal, Quebec

 

Died: 29 May 2011, Toronto, Ontario

 

BOONE, Roy Malcolm - Peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, May 29, 2011. He was born in Montreal on February 23, 1925 to Blanche and Malcolm Boone. Predeceased by his wives Vera (nee Kisil) and Margaret (nee Malcolm). Uncle Roy/Poppa Roy will be sadly missed by his brother Cecil (Barbara), niece Sharon, nephew Allan, great- nieces Jennifer and Sara, step-daughters Maureen and Marlene (Guy) and granddaughter Kalene. Roy was a WWII Navy Veteran who worked as a telegraphist on the HMCS Stellarton and was a longtime employee of Shell Canada. He received numerous scholarships during his school years and graduated from university with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Thanks to all the wonderful staff at the McCall Centre for their compassionate care. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW), on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Trillium Health Centre Foundation.
