LESLIE, Frank Edward - age 65, of Three Mile Plains, Hants Co, NS, passed away July 18, 2020 at the Plantation Campbround, Grafton, Kings Co., NS. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late John and Maxine Leslie. As a proud member of the Canadian Forces, Frank served his country with distinction. His service medals and awards attest to his dedication. Frank retired from the military after many years of global travel assignments, including Army and Navy duty. He completed missions across Canada and United Nations Peacekeeping Operations. Frank retired at Calgary, AB. Frank absolutely loved his family, notably his wife, children and grandchildren. He was never happier than when he was with them. With great effort, his continuous endeavor has been to keep close with all of his loved ones and promoting togetherness. Frank loved camping, laughing and joking, around the campfire. His fabulous sense of humor entertained all and kept his friends close. Frank's consuming pastime and passion was carpentry: field tackling project after project once he put his mind to it. He would be focused, diligently working away toward completion. It would not be left alone until done. Frank was active in the community and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 9 at Windsor NS. He was also past president of NS Provincial Command, A.N.A. Vets, Halifax. He was also a member of Welsford Lodge #26, AF&AM, Windsor, NS and the Hiram Chapter #3 RAM in Windsor, NS as well as a 32 degree Mason in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Halifax. Frank is survived by his wife, Jackie (Sanford); daughter, Annette (Justin), Trenton, NS; son, Robert, Trenton, NS; grandchildren, Luke, Alexis, Devon, Jack and Aiden; sisters, Donna, Red Deer; Carol (Blair), Halifax; Debbie (Todd), Halifax; Brothers, Roy, Hamilton, ON, Ricky (Jeannette), Trenton, ON; many nieces and nephews as well as his campground family.
