PIKE, Brenton James, AB, V36417, RCNVR, killed - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of John S. and Myrtle Pike, Central Greenwich, NB. He was a lumber mill worker prior to joining the RCNVR.

 

AB Pike died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel on 29 Apr 1944. His body was recovered and buried in the Plouescat Communal Cemetery, Finistere, France.

 

Brenton Pike's brother, Donald S. Pike also served in the navy during the Second World War.
