HAWES, Victoria Mary (née DYE) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victoria Mary Hawes at her residence, University Gates Long Term Care in Waterloo, Ontario. Vicky was predeceased by her husband, Jack, of 71 years in August 2020. She will be dearly missed by her son John (daughter-in-law, Janice), daughter Deanne (son-in-law, Alex Paraschuk), grandchildren Thomas Paraschuk, Michelle (husband, Phillip) King, and Lindsay (husband, Brian) McClelland, and great-grandchildren Delaney, Myles, Lauren, Carson, and Brynn. After serving in the Canadian Navy during World War II, Vicky worked for Bell Canada. She was a homemaker, and volunteered at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington for 40 years. She was a Provincial Life Member of the Hospital Auxiliary Association of Ontario. Vicky enjoyed bridge, curling, gardening, sewing, and travelling. We will miss her kindness and unconditional love of family. A Celebration of Life for Victoria and Jack will be held at a later date.
